Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

Quick answers about what we fix, how pricing works, how fast we can get to you, where we operate, our warranty, and how to reschedule — so you can book without picking up the phone.

What we actually fix.

What kinds of repairs do you handle?
We handle the everyday repairs that keep your car on the road — oil changes, brake pads and rotors, batteries, alternators, starters, coolant and transmission flushes, spark plugs, air filters, diagnostics, and pre-purchase inspections. Our vans carry the parts, tools, and scan equipment needed for most common jobs, so the work happens at your location in a single visit.
Do you service all makes and models?
Yes — domestic, import, and European, gas and hybrid. Our mechanics are ASE-certified and trained on virtually every common powertrain. When you book, tell us your year, make, and model and we'll confirm during scheduling that we have the parts and the right technician for your vehicle.
Can you do major engine or transmission work?
Mobile mechanics can handle most jobs short of pulling the engine or transmission out of the car. We rebuild starters, alternators, brake calipers, and similar sub-assemblies on-site; for full engine rebuilds or transmission overhauls we'll recommend a trusted local shop and quote the mobile diagnostic portion separately. We'll always tell you up front what we can and can't do in your driveway.

How fast we get to you.

How fast can a mechanic get to me?
Within the Phoenix metro, most jobs are scheduled same-day or next-day. When you submit a request we confirm an arrival window within the hour, and the mechanic texts when they're en route so you don't waste a day waiting.
How long does a typical job take?
An oil change is roughly 30–45 minutes. Brake pads run about an hour. A battery swap is closer to 20. Diagnostics usually take 30–60 minutes. Before we dispatch we'll give you a realistic time estimate so you can plan around it.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes — same-day slots are available in most parts of the Phoenix metro when you book before midday. Evening and weekend windows are also available with a small premium. Submit your request and we'll confirm the earliest opening for your zip.

What you actually pay.

How is pricing determined?
Every common service has a flat rate listed on our Pricing page — that's the labor. Parts are billed at cost plus a small margin (typically $5–$15 over wholesale, never retail). You see the full number before we dispatch.
Are there hidden fees?
No trip fees, no shop fees, no "shop supplies" surcharge. The only add-ons we'd ever propose are genuinely extra work — like a part that fails during the repair — and we call you with the price and wait for your go-ahead before touching it.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Zelle. You pay after the job is done and you're satisfied — no deposit, no advance payment.

Where we operate.

Where does WrenchUp operate?
We cover the Phoenix metro — Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Glendale, Peoria, and the surrounding communities — plus the Tucson metro. See the full Service Area page for the zip-by-zip coverage map.
Can you come to my apartment or workplace?
Yes — driveways, apartment parking lots, office parking, anywhere you can legally park the car. As long as there's a flat surface to work on and we can reach the vehicle, we'll come to you.
How do I check coverage for my zip?
Type your zip code into the checker on our Service Area page. If we don't yet cover your zip, leave your email and we'll notify you the day we expand to your neighborhood.

What's covered if something goes wrong.

What warranty do you offer?
12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, on both parts and labor. If something we fixed fails under normal use, we come back and make it right at no charge — no deductible, no debate.
What if I'm not satisfied with the work?
Tell us before the mechanic leaves — we'll redo the work or refund the labor portion in full. We'd rather lose money on a job than lose your trust. The warranty then covers the redo for the full 12 months / 12,000 miles.
Are your mechanics certified?
Yes — ASE-certified, background-checked, and experienced with the makes we service most. We'll share the mechanic's name and credentials before they arrive so you know who's pulling into your driveway.

When plans change.

Can I reschedule my appointment?
Absolutely. Just reply to your confirmation text or email — or call/text us — and we'll move you to the next available slot. There's no charge for reschedules with 4+ hours' notice.
Is there a cancellation fee?
No — cancel with 4+ hours' notice and there's no charge. Cancellations inside the 4-hour window may incur a small trip fee to cover the mechanic's drive time. We'd rather waive it than argue about it; just give us a heads-up.
How do I cancel or change a booking?
Reply to your confirmation text or email, or send a note to wrenchup@polsia.app. If your mechanic is already en route, please call — that lets us turn them around before they arrive.
